2000 Ford Taurus Wipers go on with turn signal

Okay, so I'm dating this girl and she took her car in to the dealership a year or so back. When she got the car back, her tape deck didn't work anymore and the little plastic screw covers were missing around the deck. Also, when she turns on her turn signal, 75% of the time, her windshield wipers turn on. She complained to them but they claimed that they never got inside her vehicle (She was having them flush the coolant).
I assume that this is some sort of electrical problem. I know nothing about electrical work. Are there any other possibilities to get the damn wipers to stop when she turns on the turn signal, or am I going to have to take this in to the dealer?

It's a 2000 Ford Taurus, automatic, about 60,000 miles on it.

The multifunction switches (turn signal, wiper, etc) on many Fords are problematic.

I'm betting Ford has superseded this many times. Check alldata.com for any problems known and documented.

Every once and a while, my Cavalier will do this too. LOL.
