need instructions on how to change alternator3.3litre with air,also local part store wants $125,is there any place i can do better?im in pittsburgh,pa. thank you!

it will require a little dissassembly, but it's not hard at all.

first thing is the wiper cowl will need to come out, then the alternator is right there for the changing.

it's a good 1-2 hour job with hand tools, and all is done without getting under the vehicle.

how do you know it's bad first, it's very rare for one of these to go bad, they're usually good to 200,000 miles, then just need fresh brushes. make sure it has a good belt and tensioner, they go bad way more often.

Use my "The Basics" and there's a alternator output test there. Tell us what you find.

If you need to replace it make sure you buy one from the dealer as many aftermarket replacement alternators are of poor quality.
