How hard is it for a regular joe to replace ecm on 91 LeSabre?

it really isnt very hard to replace just remove old ecm remove prom and install prom in new ecm and reinstall, should probably have battery disconnected when doing this.

What is the actual problem with the vehicle? ECM's do not usually go bad.

in my very limited experience of older GMs, i've seen a few go bad, and a remanufactured can usually be had for under $150 depending on the application.
