'88 s10 blazer vibrates
We have a '88 Chevy s10 Blazer, rear wheel drive, 2.8 liter v6 eng. Aluminium rims. Our Blazer vibrates at 35 and 65 mph. The following has been done. NEW: tires, front wheel bearing, center link, idler arm, left lower ball joint, left upper control arm bushings, left spring cushion, front shock absorbers, universal joints front & rear. The drive shaft & balance has been checked, and a wheel realigment
There is no detectable motion on right or left side.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ray & Kar

'88 s10 Blazer - vibration
Originally posted by davoThank you for your reply. Tires have already been rotated and replaced with new ones. Hard to tell where the vibration is coming from although it feels like the front.
Hi and welcome to the forum. You don't specify where you feel the vibrations coming from but rotate the tires front to rear and see if it changes or moves.

Does the truck have to be in motion?
You may want to mount the wheels on a balancer and see how straight they're turning. Also run the rear wheels on the lift after checking rims to see if an axle is bent. Has the trunk been through any collision or wheel impact lately?

Dont rule out an engine miss at this speed, could confuse you into thinking it is a wheel vibration.
