81 volvo: where is the flasher??

Can anyone tell me where the flasher is on a 1981 volvo DL wagon? I assume it needs replacing because the fuse and bulbs for the turn signals are fine and the emergency flasher still works, but the turn signals don't. Just makes a buzzing sound somewhere in the dash.
Thanks, Scooter
Happy Holiday!

Scooter, not familiar with this type vehicle, however, whatever parts place you purchase the flasher from, they will be glad to show you a diagram out of the book where it should be. Some cars it is plugged into the fuse block. You might look there for a start. Sorry I cant give you a more specific answere.

In the center console of the dash of this car, under the radio there is a panel that you can very easily remove. You may need to move the gearshift to low to get in there. If you look closely enough it will say fuses (or something to that effect) on the cover. Most of the fuses and relays for the car are located here. Look to the left of the fuse panel and the flasher should be there.
Hope this is helpful to ya,
