94 mercury

I have a 94 Mercury Sable with the automatic climate control and the fan only works in manual mode the high setting. The temp is regulated ok by the settings. I was told there is a set of resistors but I have not been able to locte them. I did locate a variable fan control module but replacing it was to no avail.

hopefully someone with ford knowledge will chime in (not me)

generally speaking, auto temp controls don't have a resistor block, just a switching transistor that variably regulates the fan speed. it sounds like you already found that part. if no one helps you, i would photocopy a wiring diagram from the local library and start checking voltages at various places, like the switch (atc head) or the fan control module or whatever else is in the system.

let us know what you find
