Heater fan quit working

Heater fan was working fine. I jumped in the car to run a errand and the heater fan quit. I checked the fuse, it was blown. I replaced the fuse but the new fuse blew too. Don't know what to do now, does anyone have any ideas. What would cause this sudden fuse problem?

Maybe a shorted wire, maybe a seized motor. Letting us know what kind of vehicle you are speaking of would be of great help.

Most likely a seized fan motor or a bad fan motor resistor. I would check these first.

i would lean towards the motor, but i would check it first, with an ammeter.

maybe just unplug it, and see if the fuse stops blowing.
