1988 Olds 98 Digital Dash Won't Light

My Olds has a digital dash. The dash can be switched from english to metric. The display had a "ghost image" (the other scale could be seen around 30% lit) when in either mode. After a month or two of this, the display just quit working. I now have no speedometer, fuel gage, odometer, etc.

I took it to my local garage & they attempted to replace the cluster. 5 times they got the 3 push button type (mine only has 2). When installed, the wipers came on, the lights flashed, etc. Obviously wrong connections somewhere.

Is there anyway for me to test the cluster? Not having a schematic/wiring diagram, I don't know where to start. Thanks for any help!

Not likely. You will most likely need to take it to an auto electrical shop or a GM dealer.
Sorry, I know thats not what you wanted to hear.
