Leaking Vehicle Coolant sporadically

I own a 1998 Ford XLT Ranger 2.5 litre. I have noticed since the weather has been getting cold up north here i am experiencing collant leakage. it looks like its coming where all the coolant hoses meet at a plastic manifold where a heater regulator valve is located. Could someone tell me if this could be the cause of my sporadic coolant leak and if i can find a schematic for this compoent.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like your describing the heater control valve. That very well could be the culprit. You need to take a closer look, possibly with pressure on it.
