Turning the headlights off!

Turning the headlights off!
I have a 97 Lumina. The headlights are always on. I want to drive through a nighttime Christmas lights display where you have to use parking lights only. Is is possible to get my parking lights on and my headlights off without doing something crazy?
Thanks!

open the hood and unplug the lamp connectors? shouldn't be too hard.
what i would do is pull up on the e-brake to the first click, this should shut off the 'daytime running lights' and not be on far enough to drag the brakes.
anything in the owner's manual? might be a paragraph somewhere saying what to do.

Maybe the promoter of the light display should get into the 90's.I would think alot of cars can't go through there because they can't be turned off.You may want to let this person know the times they are a changing.

headlights will not turn off
I have a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire. The headlights are always on even when the car is turned off and the keys are out of the ignition. In order to keep the battery from being drained, we remove the fuse from the the box. So it is a daily regiment of removing the fuse everytime we get out of the car. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

Check/change the headlight relay. It appears to be stuck in the closed position. It is a square box like unit plugged into your fuse block, probably under the hood. Look under the cover for the legend to tell you which one is headlights versus signals, versus other things.
