temp. gauge in overhead council

i have a 1994 old. bravada. the temp. gauge does not display the right temp. all of the time, i know this because it will be 40 deg. and read - 23 deg. the compass workss just fine. at times it reads OC i dont know what that means either.nothing in the owners manuall about it, ive reset it but it only resets the compass, where is the sensor or any other ideas? thanks in advance. but some times it works then all of a sudden it gives a way off temp.

The outside temp sensor bulb should be on the metal filler panel on the sides of the radiator, one side or the other, buick is on pass side, maybe half way down. Behind grill. About the size of your little pinkie finger. It unplugs. Seen a lot of GM's replaced. Cost if you DIY is about 8 bucks. Hope it is nothing more than that. Not 100% sure of the location I have given you, just look, I am relatively sure its there.
