I am trying to change rotors on a 2000 pontiac grand am and I can't get the old one off. I think I am missing soething but I don't know what it is. the brake brace is off. Help PLease

I'm assuming you have the caliper and bracket off.

It's properly rusted on the hub, spray it with rust penetrant. Tap around the face of the rotor between the studs. You can also bang on the back face of the rotor if you are replacing them.

you need a bigger hammer

make sure you clean thoroughly with a wire brush and that there is no rust left on the center mounting hub, where the new rotor 'center' sits
