tune-up questions

I need some help doing a tune up. This is my first time. I have an 1986 Ford Bronco II 2.9 L. I want to change the fuel pump and fuel filter, but I don't know what they look like or where they are located. The guy at Advanced Auto told me that there are two different places that my fuel pump and filter could be located. Any advice or tips someone can give me would me much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

A fuel pump is not part of a tune up although the filter is. Assuming your truck is fuel injected, the pump is inside the fuel tank and the tank has to be removed to replace it. The filter should be attached to the frame rail between the tank and the engine.
