hinges

the cargo doors on this 97 suburban i know are so loose that you have to lift them in place to get them to close right. what is the secret for driving out the hinge pins to be able to repair the bushings and pins in the door? or do i just need a bigger hammer? do they sell repair kits for this problem? thanks, toivo

Not 100% sure, but there should be repair kits for those hinges. There is a special tool for this but it is quite expensive. A little time and a punch should net you the results you desire.
Hope this is helpful to ya,
Billy

Take a look at the end of the pin. On front doors I have done, the pin is smashed to retain it. I have always had to cut off the end and then the pin will come out. On some hinges, the pin is welded in and you must buy a complete hinge assy.
