1996 kia sephia
i have a 1.8 kia sephia r.s. automatic transmission. when the car is cold it idles fine, after the motor gets warm it'll idle up and down, you can reajust the idle when it's hot and it'll be fine then when motor is cold it'll be a higher idle.i was told this is the oxygen sensor,i called the dealer and it's $140.00 bucks (wow) there's only 1 more parts store that had it and it was just about as high. before i spend that kinda money i wanna be positive that's it.any suggestions?? i;ve changed the plugs, fuel filter, and checked for vacum leaks already, any idea guys??

That sounds like a real good way to throw away 140 bucks. Your problem is your golden screwdriver. That is a computer cntrolled idle and that screw is only for a base idle stop and shouldnt be messed with. You need to take that to a reputable shop so they can set all that back up and diagnose the real problem which may be just a dirty throttle body or a bad IAC control. The oxygen sensor is definately NOT causing that problem. Do you have a check engine light coming on? You probably do.
