car interior lighting circuit short

re: car interior lighting circuit short

The Interior Illumination Circuit for my autombile shorted.

I was curious: Knowing all the devices on the circuit (light bulbs mostly, nothing expensive) and it's 15ampere rating, could one buy a device that would regulate the amount of voltage coarsing the fuse to help (more accurately) isolate where the short might be???

I imagine a device that would snap into the place of the 15A fuse?

will this help
wiring diagrams

seems like an innocent enough circuit

the diagram of importance is the INTERIOR ILLUMINATION, the others are for additional reference

If you monkey with the fuse system, you are only inviting another problem. I would very much try to find the source of the problem. Thats the only way.
