battery removal

Can't get the old battery out of my 2001 Neon RT. Got the terminals loose, but it feels like it is bolted in on the bottom. I can get my hand most of the way under it, but I don't feel any brackets, etc, holding the battery on the tray. Can anyone help?

get a lite and look closely. Probably a one bolt bracket on the very bottom of the battery and shelf.

Its a little wedge shaped plastic piece at the bottom front of the battery along the long side of the battery most likely facing the engine. Its not UNDER the battery, but at the bottom edge of it. As Darrell said one bolt and its out.

me thinks it's a one 13mm bolt in the back of the battery, if you haven't already found it, all previous years had it in the front

might be time to trade in the RT for a SRT4 for some F-U-N!
