97' Ford F-150?

I recently bought a 1997 F-150 crew cab,stepside pick-up with the 4.6L motor and tow pkg,and 3:55 rearend.
Its the xlt, plus the mark3 custom edition also, its really nice...
it has 72,000 miles on it.
I plan to tow my 6,000lb travel trailer with it.
Could you give me some insight as to the dependabilty of these triton motors?
I had a 1991 f-150 5.0L before.I got 200,000 out of that one.
Anything I should look out for as far as problems?

As long as it has been properly maintained it sounds like you have a good solid vehicle capable of the desired tasks.
Hope this helps,

Those motors are pretty good. If your going to be towing with it though I would make sure you change your transmission fluid. Plus with the 97 I think that you have the bigger 2" radiator, which is good. Some of the newer ones got a smaller 1" radiator with the tow package.
