Had the automatic tranny rebuilt and installed in another state. Everything works fine except for reverse. In the morning, it sometimes will not go into reverse until it warms up. It just kinda locks up, like it was in park. Not always though. The guy who installed it said he might have put something/hooked something up wrong. (duh). Any ideas? Places to look?

other than looking at the linkage adjustment, i don't think there is much you can do.

does it rev freely, or is the engine loaded, like it is actually in park and reverse at the same time?

It acts like the brake is on, so i would say loaded. i usually have to put it back in park, repush the brake, then put it in reverse, and this usually works. Could it be brake safety? Or maybe just some linkage adjustment?
