49 chevy cooling the radiator

I am thinking of putting in a electric cooling fan in a 49 chevy car. I have a complete unit rigged up the fit it out of a 88 Cutlas Calis. Does anyone out there thinks this would be sufficient for this vehicle. The Olds had a Quad Four engine which is a high output engine in that day. My 49 has a 305 with a 3 row core. Any replies are most welcomed.

An aquaintance used a set-up like yours on a '55 Chevy with a 350.
It worked well for normal driving but if he pushed the engine it would overheat.
For normal driving and being a 305 you would probably be ok.

A stock 305 would develop around the same power as a V6.
