Nissan Sentra Heating Problems

I HAVE 1994 NISSAN SENTRA AND JUST RECENTLY MY CAR WON'T HEAT UP; UNTIL I AM ON THE HIGHWAY AND ONCE I COME TO A STOP THERE IS NO HEAT. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck. Its easy enough to replace on this car.
Hope this is helpful to ya,

Check your coolant level. Make sure the coolant tank is up to the proper level. Then with the engine cold take the radiator cap off. The radiator should be full. If it is not full fill it up with the correct mix of the proper anti freeze. If it was low and the coolant tank was not empty you probably have a bad radiator cap assuming the hose from the radiator to the coolant tank is open and has no cracks or leaks.

Low coolant level can cause the heater not to work at low speeds.

Let us know what you find.
