96 dodge stratus idle

96 dodge stratus idle

just got water pump put in. Now the idle fluctuates. And stalls out once in awhile. Can i adjust idle

It's not adjustable. he likely left off or crossed a vacuum line or left the IAC unplugged. Bring it back to the guy that put the water pump in.

it would be hard, but not impossible to switch vac lines on this engine, as there aren't too many.

my guess, is the belt timing is off one tooth. if it's the dohc engine, they are tricky to set up correctly, even the experienced eye has trouble sometimes, much less the person who does it once every 4 months.

if it was running right when you brought it in, you should have never left the parking lot with it running like that. basically the whole job has to be done over, and the technician will not be happy, but it is the only way i know how to reset belt timing.

is the check engine light on?
