I own a 1997 pontiac transport and noticed the front carpets are wet does someone have an idea were this source of water is coming from . I checked under and everything seems normal.

First, check your coolant level. It can be any one of 3 things
Heater core leaking coolant into car
A/C condensation drain plugged and leaking into car (can happen when using defrost mode)
An overhead rainwater leak finding it's way to floorboard.

...water from all the snow and ice you track into your vehicle...it's hard to say, you give us very little extra information to apply here.
