Cut out the cutting out??

95 Dodge 4wheel drive dueley..Sister just purchased the truck has cumming diesel engine with about 140000 miles. Truck runs great until you have to go into reverse and then drive. For example, trying to hook up to a piece of farm equipment. You don't get it lined up so you have to pull foward then back up. It cuts out about 50% of the time when you put it in gear and hit the gas..When you get it on the road no problems at all.(i know back up right the first time)LOL. Whats going on here.THANKS..

2 things

get all the recalls done (free)

if they don't turn the idle up(they might), turn it up yourself.

normal wear on the linkage lets the idle get low, you need to turn it up a hair every 100,000 miles

you should also start a regular maintenance plan, change all the fluids and keep track of the mileage for the next round. don't use a fram oil filter.

your truck is barely broken in.
