whirring sound - '98 Windstar

whirring sound - '98 Windstar

I have a 1998 Ford Windstar. It just started making a whirring sound that seems consistant with the wheels. As I drive faster, the faster this whirring sound becomes. It sounds as though it is only coming from passenger rear tire area. Any thoughts of what I should look for? Thanks.

first...

...look at the tire(s)...then if you don't see anything obvious, try driving it and swering gently to see if you canmake the noise change or go away...could be a bearing starting to go.

Thanks for the help. It turned out that the ABS sensor had corroded some and was rubbing against metal teeth. We backed off the sensor and that solved the problem. Once again thank you.
