87' Buick Century hit puddle wont go.

87' Buick Century 4 cyl automatic with a.c, power steering, fuel injection, etc.

The car ran perfectly untill we hit a deep puddle and the engine died it then took two days before the car would even start, now when you crank it it idles and revs up fine however when you put it in gear it revs up high then drops down below idle, looses power and goes dead.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

You need to at least remove the spark plug wires and either replace them or dry them with compressed air. Also check the module connections for water intrusion.
