3.4 - 24 valve Twin DOHC noise

3.4 - 24 valve Twin DOHC noise

I've acquired a 91 Grand Prix with the above engine. There is what I would classify as a lifter tapping noise coming from the engine, except I don't think this engine has lifters. Could it be a valve guide or rocker arm or weak valve spring? Could it be somewhat easily fixed?
(relative term)! I have mechanical experience but from the library repair manuals the engine looks like a nightmare. Thanks.

I don't know why you think it doesn't have a lifter. Just because it's an overhead cam, it can still have lifters. The bad valve spring is a possibility though.

Could be one or more valves (or rocker arms, actually) just needing adjustment, assuming that particular motor has adjustable valves.
