Rear End Ratio ?

I've bought a new toy for my son and I to restore. 79' Z-28. Anyway it's been a while and I can't remember how to figure what the ratio is in the rear end. The car is not stock if you floor it going 25 mph it'll start spining. One thing I know is that it's a 10 bolt posi. Just guessing it feels like a 373, I don't think it's as low as a 411.

remove the cover. Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion gear. These #'s are typically stamped on the ring gear.

Mark the driveshaft and a tire.

Count the revolutions of the driveshaft for one complete turn of the tire.

3.73 would be 3 3/4 turns of driveshaft to one of the tire.

Thanks. If we get snow like they're saying I'll have to wait for this experiment.
