1996 Mazda Mx6 Clutch Adjusting

I HAVE A 1996 MAZDA MX6 5 SPEED STANDARD TRANSMISSION. THE CLUTCH IS VERY LOW (ENGAGES 1" FROM THE FLOOR). CAN THIS CLUTCH BE ADJUSTED? IF SO HOW DO I DO IT? THANKS, MIKESR.

Probaby no adjustment, should be a hydraulic actuated clutch. Is there enough fluid in the clutch master cylinder? How many miles on the car? IIRC Mazdas are notorious for weak slave cylinders, many of the guys in our Miata club have replaced slave cylinders on newer Miatas already.
