stalling problems

I have a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, and it was fine on Friday, I started it up on Sunday and ever since I have been having problems with it stalling when I come to a stop. Now it's so bad that ever time I hit the brakes it dies out. I was told that it might be the fuel filter, I replaced that and still have the same problem. Can you help??

most likely...

an air leak of some kind...or possibly the idle air control motor has crapped out. listen under the hood...can you hear any loud hissing? if so...it's an air leak. do you hear any hissing inside when you step on the brake pedal? if so...brake booster is bad and causing the air leak.

you didn't mention what engine here so it's hard to give you specifics...this is at least a start
