gumout

My manuel says not to add any fuel additives; with the gas situation as it is I'm not sure I trust what I'm pumping from jobbers. I'd hate to clog up an injector with varnish etc.
Would a can of gumout every ? miles do any harm/good?

Have had good results with Techron, I would rather add a bottle every 5-6k than depend on cleaners that are in the gas as PM.

I have seen Techron correct a rough idle due to dirty injectors in a short time.
