90 integra brake problem

I've just replaced the rear rotors and pads on my 90 integra. Everything fitted well but after assembling, the brakes are so tight that I can't rotate the wheels.
(Yes, the pistons were pressed back into the calipers)
If I took it out for a drive, would the pads adjust, or burn off the excess or would that just over heat the rotors?

Other suggestions?

your rotors and pads would be ruined before the pads would wear away.

start taking things apart until you find the thing that is causing the bind. a little drag is normal, the tire should be able to turn at least one full revolution with a good spin. that's how tight i make drum brakes. disc brakes 'self adjust' this tight themselves.

some things to look at, the e-brake mechanism, whether it's a cable going into the caliper, or a separate set of brake shoes inside the center of the rotor, try backing that off and see if it helps.
