98 E150 misfire

I have a '98 Ford E-150 conversion van that has developed a mis fire. I have had the computer read, and it indicated a misfire in cylinder 3. I replaced the wires (what a job!) but, still having a problem. This last time there was an indication of misfires in cyl. 3 AND 4. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. P.S. it has a 4.6L V-8.

suggest removing 3 and 4 spark plugs and check for carbon tracking on the side of the plugs also look for any moisture that may be in the spark plug hole causing the misfire, if there is carbon tracking on the side of the plugs replace the plug and you may even have to replace the plug wires again if you see any carbon tracking inside the plug wire will look like a line inside the plugwire boot, carbon tracking on the plugs will be a dark line running down the side of the spark plug porcelin.
cylinders 3 and 4 is the passenger side rear 2 plugs.
does the engine misfire all the time even at an idle or just under acceleration and comes and goes?
