Honda civic body work

Hi,
I have a '94 civic. I stumped as to how to remove the rubber siding(lining?) that runs along the bottom on both sides. Im not sure if im using the right name... but its a protective rubber strip that runs below both doors on either side. I removed all he screws, but it refuses to come off....

Is there more than meets the eye here? Or do I have to slide it off the length of the car?

Thanks
Kart
