Replacing radio/cd with used OEM

Am replacing my 2000 Pontiac Montana radio/cd with a used OEM unit due to bad single disk cd player. Replacement unit is electronically locked out due to codes. Can anyone tell me a source to instruct me on the procedure to get the the replacement unit to operate?

Try this:

Press the 2 & 3 numbers at the same time for about 10 seconds; a 2 or 3 digit code will come up; press the am/fm button for about 10 seconds; another code will appear; dial 1-800-537-5140 and enter 106010 followed by the # sign; enter the 4 or 6 digit code from your radio followed by an *; the phone number will give you a 3 or 4 digit override code; enter this code into your radio just as your owners manual tells you to - use the hour and minute buttons to put in the unloc code

You need a Tech 2 scan tool to set up the radio.Any GM dealer can do it for you.Sorry it won't be free, the tech needs paid for doing it.
