Question Geo head gasket info.

Hi and happy Easter to all. I replaced the head gasket on my father's 1993 Geo Metro, three cylinder engine. I am hoping that someone can tell me the tightening sequence and the torque for this job. Let's assume we are standing in front of the motor and looking at the head. There are 8 bolts.

1-2-3-4
5-6-7-8

What sequence do I do and how tight do they go?

Thanks inadvance and best of days to everyone out there.

John

Head torque sequence is always from the center out so yours would be 27364581

Crank flywheel
6428 The crank is the front of the engine and the torque pattern is in the order from the book not your numbering system.Hope this helps.

Question One more question.

I need to know what to torque the bolts to. Hoping to do this tonight. Everything went together nicely. Thanks, John

Put engine oil on the head bolts and torque to 54 ft lbs. in 3 or 4 steps.
