Can anyone tell me where I would find my airfilter and how to change it in a 96 Chevy Tahoe?

Look at the top center of the engine and there will be some type of black plastic tube or hose leading to a black air filter housing that looks like a box. The lid will be held on by screws or lever type clips. Take the lid off and you should see the filter and it will lift out. Vacuum out and dirt, sand, etc. that you find in the bottom of the housing.

Make sure the filter is seated where it belongs and that the lid goes back on correctly so it seals all the way around.
