1992 3.8 bonneville

can anyone tell me what the book time is for replacing the interuptor magnite..how many hours does it pay show for it to take. what would be good price on changing it (LABOR ONLY) THANKS .

What is it your referring to, the cam sensor magnet, crank sensor??????????

yes desi the cam sensor magnet.i told the guy since i have to take it off anyway he might as well put in new timing gear and chain on it while it is off.last one i done i done it for a shop i was working at.im thinking of around 150.00 -175.00 labor only.but i want to try to be fair since he is a good friend of mine.as a matter of fact he is the guy who showed me how to use a tire machine about 16 years ago. thanks in advance

Yes, that installs from the backside of the cam gear so basically it's just a timing chain replacement. From memory I think it's 3 to 3.5 hours, maybe a little less. It's not that hard at all.
