replacing sprockets

i need some input on replacing the intake,exhaust timing sprockets and also the idler sprocket for a 1.6 dohc. all 3 existing sprockets have many teeth missing and surprisingly didn't jump a toooth. question is: i've gotten the two camshaft sprockets off no problem i'm looking for someone or literature that will tell me that i DON'T have to take the lower timing cover off when i put on the idler sprocket for the lower and upper timing chains. i am begging someone to tell me how because everything i've read says i have to take the lower cover off which is about 23 additional removal procedures i don't want to do. please there has to be a way TIA!!!!!!!!!!

You need to take the lower cover off no shortcut exists.

Did I miss something here? What kind of car are we talking about? I realize I havent been here in awile, so I may have missed something on a previous post.
