replacing a kia dashboard

[B][SIZE=3]i have a1996 kia sephia rs a/t/1.8 cylinder.our dashboard needs replacing so i went to the dealer for an estimate.whoaaaaaaaaaa i have dual airbags and have never taken out air bags before .is it hard to replace this dashboard of this type or should i have a pro do it. and kind info or instructions i could get would be appreciated. thanks.

Dashboard in a Kia?..... Sounds like it's time to dispose of the car......LOL.......(just kidding)

It is a MAJOR job to replace the entire dash pad. Definately not a DIY job. Most mechanics would run from that job. I've done a couple of various Jap cars for body shops. It's a job.

Yeah, the same thing happened to my '97 Sephia. The car looked and ran OK except the sun had eaten up the dash - it had actually curled up away from the windshield and really looked bad. The dealer wanted something like $1200 to replace it.
