'90' nissan maxima with a automatic trany none the gears work I can move the shifter but the car doesn't even sound like it is going to go anywhere. there are two connecters on the side of the trany one with four wires and the other with six wires,, on both connecters I only have one possitive wire on each,, can you tell me which color wire goes were and if it is supposed to be hot or not?

I think your barking up the wrong tree there. It doesn't take anything electrical to shift into gear. You've got more problems then that. Check to see if you broke a C/V joint but if not, get it to a tranny shop.
PS, make sure it's full of fluid.
