93 Plymoth Voyager Transmission

I have a 93 Plymoth Voyager 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission
went bad i will discribe " first it would only drive in 1st gear in 1st, 2nd, and Drive, but i had neutral and reverse, then reverse quit working and then it drove forward in netural.this took a few weeks. So i bought a used tranny at a junk yard and installed it and it did the same thing. could this be another problem? TCM? maybe? I really have to believe that both trannys could not have the same problem, that fast.

when i installed the new tranny it had reverse for about 20 min then no more, it now drives froward(1st gear) in Neurtal, Drive, 2nd, and 1st. and no reverse.

does some think they can help me?

Probably time to have it diagnosed by a good tranny shop. FYI I recently had one of the tranny shops we tow for regularly tell me they never EVER put used units in Voyagers/Caravans. Something about the way they routinely fail, but don't know any details.
