ac problems on a 95 jeep grand cherokee

I have posted this question once back in March but had no answer so I will try again. All the parts of the ac seem to be working fine, the only thing is that I put refrigerant R134a in and it works fine. After about two weeks or so it doesn't cool as much and there is a smell. It smells moldy like when a frig has been closed for so long and than you open it up. So I would like it if someone could help me out with this question. Thanks for any comments.

You may have a leaking evaporator.

Evaporator leaks are very common in that vehicle, It's a fairly larges job as the dash has to come off to access the HVAC box where the evaporator resides. try to find a shop that specializes in A/C repairs or the dealer. There are too many shops inexperienced in A/C out there claiming to know what they're doing.
