Windshield R.I.P.
Hi, I'm putting old Rusty Bondo to rest with respect in a demolition derby.
I'd appreciate any help in telling me the best way to take out a windshield( preferably in one piece). Thanks, Tom

Here is how we take out our windshields when we strip cars for the demo derby. Remove all the trim from around the window and spray wd-40 on the rubber. Do this on both the inside and outside. It will get messy. Let it sit for a day or 2 and then take a razor knife and cut into the seal all around the window.(both inside and out) The window should be loose now. Have someone push from the inside and keep cutting the outside. Be very careful when doing the back window because if someone pushes to hard it will go into about a million pieces.
We have had only a few where this didnt work. Another way is to cut off your hood latch cable and push it thru the window seal and use it as a saw to cut around the window.
When all else fails use a big hammer and break out the glass and use a saws-all to cut away the rubber seal because there will be glass stuck to it.
