I've go another problem on my 87 F-150. The starter stays on... Even when I turn off the ignition it just stays on and makes a crazy sound. It's done it three times in one week. I'm thinking about just replacing the starter, but I'm wondering if there is something else I should be concerned with. Why wont it shut of once I turn the key off?

Most likely it's the starter switch/solonoid mounted on the fender well near the battery. The positive cable is connected to it.
