2000 Taurus won't start

I was driving around a corner and my car sputtered and died.
I thought i was out of gas since my gauge has not been working,so went and got gas about 8gallons and it still will not start. The starter seems to be fine battery is good.Just will not start

Check your inertia cut-off switch (I think that model has one). It'll be located either in the trunk somewhere or possibly behind the front passenger kick panel (that's where Ford trucks usually are). This is a switch that cuts power to the fuel pump in the event of an accident; the switch sometimes responds to a sharp jolt or pothole. Just going around a corner wouldn't normally set it off, but It's something to check. Look in you owner's manual for the location.
