Question Car Tires

Hi,

I got a letter in the mail about some tires I had purchased locally. It states the tire has experienced a service condition in the crown area and I may be eligible for replacement. What is the crown area on a car tire?

Thanks,
Shawn

It's the shoulder area where the tread meats the sidewall. I would definately take advantage of that offer.

A service condition lol.Sounds like a polite name for a recall to me.By all means go have them checked for your safety and do so soon.

Badmouthing Goodyear is not going to help you any it may upset some people who would offer advice to you in the future. We have no way of analyzing your tire wear conditions so that we can not judge the situation you are in.The question you asked has been answered by Desi.
