Tapping Noise

I have a 1995 Chryler Cirrus 6cyl which I set the timing on it and put everything back and went to road test it! But As I road test it and got back home.I looked under the hood and notice that there was a tapping noise under the front valve cover!!
My question is could this be from setting the timing and the timing not be right or could it be something else?
I did notice that, that spark plug wire is a little burned! time to change the wires.

Appreciate any advice you could give!!

Thank you in advance!!!!!!!

A bad plug wire that allows for arcing will sound like a tap. Try replacing the wires first and then go from there. I doubt that you created a valve tap from just adjusting the timing.

Check the oil level and when it was changed last.
