Explorer no power

I have a 1996 Ford Explorer, 260 kms. Almost home today I heard a click and all power to the vehicle was gone, nothing worked. My battery indicator was bottomed out. It is an original battery. I did make it home, shut the vehicle off and I just get a static sound when I try and start.

I suspect it's a main fuse. But could be the battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

John

Got to start with the battery, make sure it's good, take it to an Autozone and get it checked, then we go from there.

if the battery is original just get a new one i wouldnt even waste your time testing a battery that old.
you could possibly have an alternater problem but start with the battery.
