Car Mold

I recently discovered gray mold on the door panels , seats, etc of my closed up 68 Firebird. I keep it in a garage...no heat, no humidity control. How do I remove the mold withoiut damaging the interior. I'm afraid to use bleach as I don't want to bleach out the black interior. Any body got experience with this problem...what did you do? Thanks Paul

It's best to kill it first w/a mildecide
Lysol works great and won't damage any thing
Spray till it's damp and let dry
Removing the dead stuff is tougher
If it's vinyl, a foaming product called Tuff Stuff works wonders with mold & mildew
Put some newspapers on the floor, foam up the seats etc. and have at them w/a damp sponge
Just have lot's of rags, paper towels, etc.
This also works on polyester carpets but it's harder (use a wetted brush to scrub and dry it really really well)
Don't use bleach
